Duck Blinds

It might come as a surprise for you but ground blinds have been around since the early 1500s. They were used by Native Americans in the vast grass lands of the Midwest but also the open arctic tundra. A ground blind is a simple primitive yet efficient tool that is used in order to conceal a person from being detected by the animal that is being hunted, in our case, the duck.

There are two types of blind structures: the first type is the two dimensional ( 2D ) type, the second type is the three dimensional ( 3D ) type. The latter one is completely enclosed and is very good for setting up anywhere the game is, it is a very portable blind. These blinds are used primarily for hunting big game like elk and bear but are also used for small game like the turkey.

The 3D blinds in the waterfowl world are used by hunters to pursue geese and ducks. The 2D blind is, in most cases, one sided and without a top. The duck blind should be placed between the hunter and the prey. These 2D duck hunting blinds are prefect for hunting tree lines and levees for all game types. They are most suitable for hunting in island areas or tree lines and sloping banks.
